Leads the research project. Responsible for the overall design, conduct, and management of the study. Makes major decisions and ensures the project meets its goals and complies with regulations.
Supports the PI. Helps with planning and conducting the research. May lead specific parts of the project but doesn’t have overall responsibility like the PI.
Works on the project in a supporting role. Can include research assistants, coordinators, analysts, or administrative staff. Carries out tasks like data collection, analysis, and documentation.
Represents the interests of the community involved or affected by the research. May help shape the research questions, ensure cultural relevance, or assist with outreach and engagement.
