  • Cross-Sectoral Partnerships: Form partnerships across government, universities, and industry to leverage varied expertise and resources to accelerate translational progress. Implement evidence-informed practices for effective cross-sectoral partnerships.
  • Patient and Community Engagement: Involve impacted patients and communities as research collaborators to enable research advances across the translational continuum (e.g., via disease registries, clinical trials participation, intervention design). Implement evidence-informed practices for patient- and community-engaged research.
  • Organizational Environment: Enable and incentivize boundary-crossing partnerships via leadership, policies, and recognition and reward systems.

CTSI Horizons - Clinical Trials Special Interest Group

The CTSI Horizons program enhances clinical and translational research (CTR) by bringing together CHLA-based faculty at all career stages to collaborate in key focus areas such as qualitative research, clinical trials and healthcare delivery science. Leveraging SC-CTSI resources, the program supports small, topic-driven special interest groups and fosters partnerships between USC and CHLA investigators, to also help USC faculty connect with pediatric collaborators.

 

The Clinical Trials Special Interest Group seeks to enhance expertise in clinical trials research amongst faculty to create opportunities for methodological innovation, cross-disciplinary insights, and robust research outcomes.
