CTSI Horizons - Clinical Trials Special Interest Group

The CTSI Horizons program enhances clinical and translational research (CTR) by bringing together CHLA-based faculty at all career stages to collaborate in key focus areas such as qualitative research, clinical trials and healthcare delivery science. Leveraging SC-CTSI resources, the program supports small, topic-driven special interest groups and fosters partnerships between USC and CHLA investigators, to also help USC faculty connect with pediatric collaborators.

 

The Clinical Trials Special Interest Group seeks to enhance expertise in clinical trials research amongst faculty to create opportunities for methodological innovation, cross-disciplinary insights, and robust research outcomes.

Introduction to Clinical and Translational Research Study Design (ICTR SD)

This course is designed for residents, fellows, faculty, and staff as a practical introduction to clinical and translational research methods. Held every other week between August and December, the course includes a combination of asynchronous videos, didactic lectures, discussions, and practical applications.

The Seminar Series is an educational initiative that supports clinical and translational researchers through expert-led sessions focused on innovation, collaboration, and career development. Covering topics from scientific communication to regulatory science and team leadership, the series equips researchers with the tools and knowledge to accelerate the translation of discoveries into real-world health solutions.
