This course will address the following competencies important for Healthcare Delivery Science:
- Demonstrate knowledge of exemplar theories and models and frameworks for D&I research to produce value for stakeholders
- Identify the components to designing and conducting D&I research
- Evaluate how the evidence-based interventions, stakeholder engagement and dissemination inform the quality, equity or value of health care
- Describe evidence-based strategies to engage stakeholders from diverse health care settings in developing D&I research to ensure the feasibility and relevance to real-world health care
- Describe evidence-based strategies to recruit and engage diverse health care stakeholders in conducting D&I research to ensure the feasibility and relevance to real-world health care
- Demonstrate knowledge of mixed methods and how they can be used to improve D&I research studies
- Demonstrate knowledge of how to assess multi-level determinants of health and health care disparities when designing studies
- Demonstrate the ability to employ implementation research and quality improvement to promote efficiency, quality, and patient safety in the healthcare system
